In this example it would be the 18.25mm accessory kit ASSA accessory sets Standard accessory sets for Scandinavian oval cylinders used with Modular and Connect locks are available in four sizes. These are designed to be fitted to a standard 44mm or 54mm door. For security reasons it is imperative that the cylinder does not protrude more than 2mm from the face of the cylinder ring. If it is necessary to fit a cylinder to a door of unusual thickness, we can supply different sizes of screws and cylinder rings. Extension pieces, which bring the cylinder further out from the centre line of the door, are also available. Please contact your ASSA ABLOY Vantage Partner for further details. Accessory sets for Scandinavian round cylinders used with Modular and Connect locks are available in two sizes. Combined with extension pieces and longer screws, they are suitable for door thicknesses up to 100mm. High security cylinder escutcheons for Euro Profile cylinders used with Compact locks are available in two sizes: 6mm and 8mm. As these cylinders can be ordered in size increments of 5mm, the correct size of cylinder should be specified to suit the door thickness and escutcheon size selected. It is essential to ensure that the cylinder is as flush with the surrounding hardware as possible to reduce the opportunity for the cylinder to be removed. A flush fitted cylinder will also reduce movement over time and increase the longevity of the product. When choosing a cylinder length there are three factors to consider: 1. Door thickness 2. Hardware thickness (e.g. cylinder roses) 3. Lock position In most applications, the mortice lock will be fitted on the door centreline. Therefore, a standard equal length cylinder can be used. However, if the lock is fitted off-centre then an offset cylinder needs to be specified. (Measurement 1 + hardware thickness) + (measurement 2 + hardware thickness) = overall cylinder length
