assaabloy.com 943 Commercial flush bolts Flush bolts are morticed into the door to provide a flush finish; most commonly used at the meeting point of a pair of rebated doors. When doors are closed, the flush bolts are concealed and therefore secure. The length of a bolt is determined by the height of the door. Lever action flush bolts provide a good security feature that can allow the secondary/ inactive leaf to be opened but will also hold the door leaf in the closed position to allow accessibility or larger equipment to be moved around. Flush bolts are most commonly used on the secondary/inactive leaf of the door with the sprung internal system designed to minimise the cut out of the door. They can be locked or unlocked easily by flipping the lever action that flicks the bolt up and down and are suitable for use on swing or sliding doors.
