CAREER PURSUIT

How do you find your WHY? Honestly, it varies for everyone, but here are a few things I can suggest: Think about your closest circle, and how your business could impact them. Think about your ideal day – when your business is fully established, and you’re living the life of your dreams. Think about what happens if you DON’T start your business. Think about how you and your loved ones will benefit from your business. The common theme here? THINK!! You have to take the time, alone, to really identify what having a business means to you, and why this is something you have to do! What do I include in my plan? A business plan doesn’t need to be as intense and scary as it sounds! It can be a really simple one-pager that includes the following: BASIC BUSINESS PLAN LAYOUT COMPANY VISION This is where you define your company for the future – the long-term projection of your business. COMPANY MISSION Your target audience, your product/service and what makes you unique in your market. This looks like a small section, but there is a lot of work that needs to happen here: identifying your target market, and getting really specific with the type of people that you want to help; understanding the areas that they really need help with; figuring out how exactly you want to help them; and what makes you stand out from the competition. YOUR VALUES What are the key values that will show up in how you operate your business? YOUR OPERATING STRUCTURE Are you online-based or bricks and mortar? Do you work face-to-face, offer group sessions, etc.? YOUR REVENUE GENERATION STRATEGIES/ FINANCIAL PLAN How are you going to make money? What are your initial expenses, and when do you project to break even? 08 C A R E E R P U R S U I T 2 0 2 0 Now you have your WHY, and you have your business plan, so you are ready to build your business.
