Cartmel Priory Church of England School - Prospectus

“My name is Nick Taylor. I attended Cartmel Priory School between 2002 and 2007. From there, I studied my A Levels at Ulverston High School. As I always dreamed of becoming a commercial pilot, I had a part time job in my spare time to earn money to get my Private Pilot’s Licence at Blackpool Airfield. I had to work hard to have a good understanding of Maths and Science. I went on to do my Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence exams in 2015 and gained my Commercial Pilot’s Licence in 2016. Since then, I have been flying Boeing 737s and Boeing 787s out of Manchester Airport. I travel long haul to America, the Caribbean and Thailand in the winter months and to Europe and other countries during the summer months. I am very proud of my career and love my job. Thanks to Cartmel Priory, I had a great start to my career and met some of my best friends”. “My name is Dr Josh Callon and I am a junior doctor at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool. I attended Cartmel Priory School between 2007 and 2012 before completing my A Levels in Ulverston and then attending medical school. I currently work in the busy Emergency Department, which is the regional major trauma centre for Cheshire and Merseyside. I plan on specialising in anaesthetics, critical care and pre-hospital medicine. My time at Cartmel helped to shape me academically and made me think that I could do anything if I put my mind to it”.
