Cumbria Community Foundation - Guide to Giving

Cumbria Club For individuals and families We welcome members from across the country, not just in Cumbria. All have the same passion and love for our county and find membership provides a great way to support the people and communities of Cumbria. Individual annual membership £50 Family annual membership £75 Our Cumbria Club events are a great way to catch up with old friends and connect with people who have a shared interest in our special county. Previous events have included a drinks reception at the House of Commons, a drinks reception with Lord Melvyn Bragg as our guest speaker in London, a private viewing at the Castlegate Gallery in Cockermouth and an evening cruise on Windermere. Membership We have two membership schemes, one for businesses and one for individuals and families. Donations from both schemes contributes significantly to supporting our work. It allows us to promote philanthropy, supports the research and reports that underpin our giving and helps us highlight and focus on where the needs in our county are. As a member, you will be part of a growing group of people and businesses supporting the work of the Foundation. We provide opportunities to be connected to our work and other supporters by receiving a regular newsletter and invitations to our programme of social events. Members also participate in our governance, nominating trustees and voting at our AGM. Corporate Membership We welcome businesses of all sizes to become a corporate member. Our members are not just those with Cumbrian roots but national and international companies who work in our county. We have two strands of membership – Standard and Challenge. A Challenge membership allows a business to donate a higher annual fee and access to an exclusive event during the year.
