Daniel Connal Partnership Services -Project Monitoring

danielconnal. co.uk Project Monitoring Services Project monitoring is about protecting a funder ’ s interest - identifying, advising, and reducing the risks associated with a development that is not under your direct control. As a lender providing finance for a development, you need someone to keep a close and expert eye on it for you. As well as having expertise in the key risk areas of construction costs, building procurement and programme management, we also have expert knowledge of design and construction quality, as well as planning and statutory legislative compliance, all of which, if not appropriately monitored, could present significant elements of risk. As experienced project monitoring surveyors our process combines a diligent and thorough desktop review of any proposals with regular site inspections followed up with clear and concise reporting. This gives our clients confidence and certainty that the property in which they have an interest will be free of any impediment that would detract from its value or hinder a future disposal, delivered successfully, on time, compliant with legislation, and free from potential practical problems, or latent defects affecting future maintenance and occupation. We ensure that our scope of monitoring reflects our client ’ s particular requirements, but typically these will include advice on:  land and property acquisition matters  statutory consents  competency of the developer, its team and any proposed project management systems  financial appraisals  development finance, consultancy and construction agreements  legislative compliance including health & safety  construction costs and programmes  design and construction quality Building certainty, reducing risk Our primary role as project monitoring surveyor is one of investigator and advisor to the client but we also aim to support the developer and the construction team through a risk management process which is of benefit to all and contributes to the overall success of the project.
