ECO-I North West - Opening up the expertise, equipment and resource of the region’s leading universities

Company Profile Charge My Street is a social enterprise installing and operating community funded electric vehicle (EV) charge points for residents without off-street parking across the North West of England. It aims for every home to be no more than 5 minutes' walk from an EV charge point. The Project This project aims to promote the use of Electric Vehicles in the North West, with the overall goal of lowering carbon emissions. Since 2016, the transport sector has been the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions in the UK. Reducing the number of petrol and diesel vehicles on the road will have a drastic effect. Using multiple methods, including focus groups and interviews, this project aims to switch 50 individuals from their existing vehicle to an electric vehicle. Doing so will reduce carbon emissions from transport in the North West. Tom Barker Tom graduated from Edge Hill University with a first class honours BSC Marketing degree. Tom's project allows him to use his marketing experience to encourage and promote the switch to an Electric Vehicle with the view to lower carbon emissions in the North West.
