Chemical Yellow in colour, this type is used to recover unknown, corrosive or aggressive chemical spills. These can be used indoors or out. Oil-Only White in colour and absorb only oil-based fluids. These absorbent are best used outdoors as they won’t recover any water-based fluids. Maintenance Grey or black in colour, and absorbs both water- and oil-based fluids at the same time. These are the best choice in most indoor spill situations. To help users identify which type they need at a moment’s notice, globally the three most recognised colours are: White - Oil Only, Grey - Maintenance, and Yellow - Chemical.
