It’s 2024 don’t you know! …That’s enough of that, so let’s get cracking. We hope you had a great festive period for Christmas and New Year, and now we’ve come to January. A month not really associated with easy drinking weather and flying sales. We are looking at 2024 the same as every year, doing the best job possible to help you achieve the best results possible. We have been in the process for some time at making things clearer and showing you more of what we are capable of. Our new website is finally nearing completion, and will be a great asset for you to see our portfolio, as well as information to help support you. We will have a range of new spirits, wines and cask ale brewers. In this increasingly growing market, there has been an issue with saturation of categories. We’ve seen every man and his dog create a gin, IPA, cider and lager. Plenty of these products are fading away with the recent difficulties, but it has lead to an issue that has raised a point with the majority of these struggling manufacturers. “Buying cheap does not mean financial feasibility when it affects your reputation for quality. You need a price that will be in good balance with your product quality, that will then reflect in your sales price and rate of sale. Examples of products that will cost a bit more, but clients are happy to pay the price are, Timothy Taylor ales, Pipers crisps, New Zealand Marlborough Estate Sauvignon Blanc etc. That leads to a point we at G + G have always followed, happy to pay the price, but it better be worth it!” This is what we have always worked to, some of our products may be that little bit more, in a few circumstances a fair bit more, but it shows with client satisfaction and rate of sale! So in the next couple of editions, we are going to work with manufacturers to help encourage you to try something you think may not give the return you are looking for. We think it will surprise you ……. Here’s to 2024 and making it a successful year for all of us.

Creating cask culture We’ve been involved with cask ale for a long time, and we’ve found some amazing beers and brought them to East Anglia. That being said cask ale is being affected by the times, and we will do what we can to make sure a damn good pint is always available. So we’ve changed the prices for the month of January, and added another offer on top! Buy a cask from the below breweries every week and be placed in a draw for a free cask! (multiple chances) £79 £74 £86 £81 £98.77 £93.77 £83.06 £78.06 World Quality Beers 3 in 1 beers. Amazing brews, Vegan and Gluten Free!

The other side, is that some ales may be a little bit niche or they may be for a specific event. Typically we will receive our casks early on in the week, as they will come directly from the brewers. Not given to a courier the week before and held in conditions unknown to us over the weekend. They belong in a temperature controlled environment, and left in the same place until needed for delivery. So please note, give as much notice as possible so that it may come on your next order.
