Each parcel is assigned a function and is connected by a central spine road. This road begins on the higher ground to the east, descends into the depths of the quarry, and rises again to link with the proposed A591 junction to the west. The dramatic topography, combined with mature landscape screening, offers opportunities to enhance biodiversity while integrating the new development sensitively into the setting. Southern Parcel: Positioned on the highest ground, this is suited for a cluster of employment uses, benefiting from separation from more sensitive uses. Central Parcel: Located deeper within the quarry, this provides an appropriate area for the relocated waste and recycling facility. On the eastern side is an enlarged public area while the western side features the depot. Lakeside Parcel: Adjacent to the water body, could provide a new community facility such as a scout hut or adventure centre, supporting outdoor and waterside activities. Northern Parcel: Close to the proposed A591 junction, would accommodate relocated bluelight facilities and bus depot. Combined with some parking, the bus depot could offer a park and ride facility for the wider Lakes. Proposed new junction on the A591
