Abbot Hall Art Gallery is family-friendly and offers a range of activities aimed at young visitors. Art Club Each Saturday, this creative, artist-led-club will take children aged 7-11 years on a colourful journey into the various painting styles on show in the gallery. Take inspiration from our exhibitions to develop your own art and style. A charge applies. Crawl in the Hall Our weekly Friday event for families brings the galleries bursting into life. Join our fun, creative and multi-sensory sessions that encourage expression, exploration, language and movement for under 5s. Each session is completely unique and will keep the entire family entertained. Every Friday during school term time, 10-11am. £5 per adult & child (£3 Additional participants). Living Well with Dementia Holiday Activities Abbot Hall runs free drop-in creative activities throughout the galleries during school holidays. climART Camp This is a camp for children aged 9-15 which runs during the summer school holidays. Participants use creativity and knowledge to make a climART statement. Experimenting with various media across the week, participants will collaborate and create an ecologically- sound site specific work highlighting the threat of climate change. Price £150 per participant. Art Studio If looking at the artworks isn’t enough for you or your young ones, then head up to our Art Studio. In there you will find art materials that enable you to be more creative. These are all free to use and easy to find.
