Transforming Tomorrow 22 The Pentland Centre took its expertise straight to business at LUMS’s first Academic Industry Meeting day (AIMday) on the theme of Sustainability and Stewardship. Partnering with the Centre for Family Business, members of both centres met with businesses from across the North West of England to discuss their sustainability and family business challenges. Topics covered included how to encourage sustainable activity across supply chains; how to measure and improve sustainability credentials; and how to combat greenwashing. Representatives from ten businesses – from major national brands to regional SMEs – across multiple sectors, including homeware, publishing, the food and drink industry, and engineering and manufacturing, took part. Initial one-hour workshops focused on a particular issue, with questions matched to expertise from across the University. There are already active projects with six of the companies who took part, with others in development. The objective is to ensure these projects lead to further activity either with individual businesses or collectively. Taking AIM Find out more about the AIMday here: https://youtu.be/YgfGhJDfX2A
