Mark Minshull McMemories

STEVE HOWELLS Hi Mark When I received the request to contribute to a memory book for you I thought 2 things, the first was yes definitely, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to wish one of the nicest guys to have worked with McDonald’s all the very best for the future. And second where do I start with memories as so much has happened over the past 20 years, but of course one sprung straight to mind! From the early days of Linney’s becoming a new supplier to McDonald’s to where we are today is a real testament to you. You have forged an amazing working relationships between Linneys and McDonald’s that has resulted in a true partnership, but more than this you have created friendships with so many individuals, of which I’m proud to count myself as one, that will last a lifetime. Our friendship was never tested more than when Dan, Barry, you and me completed the Samworth Brothers Challenge in the Lake District. During each part of the challenge we supported each other, provided encouragement when needed and celebrated once we finished (although I don’t think any of us have ever drunk so little at a free bar!) I look back on this experience with very fond memories but equally can remember the pain I felt during the subsequent days! Mark you really are a true gent and I count myself lucky to have had the opportunity to work with you for so many years. Enjoy France and listen when Helen tells you to relax and slow down. Take care and keep in touch Steve
