Our five lakes were formed as part of the environmental restoration of old gravel quarries. The land had previously been used as a WW1 airfield and farmland going even further back. We embrace the history and geology of our park land, bringing it to the forefront where we can, with various information boards dotted around the walking trails. The scenic trails around the lakes also offer multiple viewing areas, benches and modern artwork to enjoy. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife including many species of dragonfies and damselfies along with a large variety of different species of birds. We have a series of fishing lakes, that are not only well stocked with a large variety of fish but are also a perfect setting for a relaxing stroll or to explore wildlife.
