You should be able to explain how understanding biodiversity and ecology has changed how garden designers think and the style of modern gardens. Gardens with clear heritage have an impact on how they are maintained, and you should be able to discuss limitations of design within historic gardens as well as how large heritage gardens can become involved in Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPS) and the encouragement of native flora and fauna.
