Challenges and mitigations • For referral to treatment, all health units remain focused on eliminating waits over 52+ weeks, particularly where additional funding is in place. • High attendance in EDs continues to have an impact on patient flow. A new isolation and bed management policy has been implemented, and infection prevention and control teams are undertaking case-bycase risk assessments to optimise flow while maintaining safety.
