From new member welcome events to scientific meetings and book launches, we hold over 100 meetings each year across the UK. Some of our events are also available to watch online via our YouTube channel. Check out our events calendar to see what’s coming up. Subscribe to mailing lists for our Local Groups, Sections or Special Interest Groups We have 18 local groups across the UK – plus ones in Nigeria, the Arabian/ Persian Gulf and India – organising talks, events and social activities in their local area. Each group is led by a committee of volunteers and new members are always welcome. If you would like to meet statisticians with similar interests in areas of statistical application, why not go along to one of our section events? Like the local groups, sections are volunteer led and organise regular events and meetings. There are 19 sections to choose from. Special Interest Groups are formed for a limited three-year period to gauge interest in a particular statistical topic or interest area.
