Professional fees total £2385.00 Our fees cover the cost of a professional funeral arranger to guide you through the arrangement of the funeral, as well as the use and staffing of our facilities. Third Party Fees There are a number of fees that are paid to external authorities on your behalf. These are known as Third Party or Disbursement Fees. These fees are not set by us and we will always endeavour to ensure that we estimate these fees correctly. These fees will be listed on your estimate and it is respectfully asked that they are paid within 5 days of the arrangements being made. As part of our service to you we request one payment to ourselves, either by cash, cheque or debit or credit card, and we will then pay these fees to the authorities. Below is a guide to the fees that may need to be paid, although it is not exhaustive. Crematorium fees Fees payable to the crematorium generally include the use of the chapel for the service to take place, an organist (if applicable) or music system to accompany any hymns that you may wish to sing and, locally, use of the downloadable Wesley Music System for the playing of personal music. The fee also includes the cremation service itself and care of the cremated remains for up to one month after the service has taken place. If the ashes are to be interred in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium this usually forms part of the cremation fee, but any form of memorial will be a separate fee. Doctors’ fees If the service is to be a cremation and no Post-Mortem has taken place, statutory Medical Cremation Certificates will need to be completed to allow the cremation to take place. The certificate is composed of two sections, the first being completed by the doctor who last looked after the deceased. The second part is then completed by an independent GP or doctor at the hospital who does not work with the first doctor. Burial fees Whether there is an existing grave or a new grave is to be purchased, there will be fees payable for the preparation and purchase of the grave to the presiding burial authority. If a new grave is required, the fee paid is for the right of burial, not the actual land in which the plot is situated; this remains the property of the burial authority. It is worth noting that if you live outside the area of your chosen cemetery, there may be an additional ‘non-resident’ fee to be paid. Officiant fees The majority of families prefer to have a professional lead the service on their behalf. This may be a Minister of Religion, a Funeral Celebrant or a Humanist officiant. Their fee will include their travelling expenses and the time taken to lead the service on your behalf. They will also want to meet with you to discuss the service details and advise on music choices, and will liaise with us on your behalf to provide the written content for any order of service. Other third party fees There are a number of other fees that may be payable dependent on your selected arrangements. A description of many of these may be found later in the brochure with their respective fees. If you are unsure if any fee may apply to your arrangements, please do not hesitate to ask us for further clarification. 14 Disbursements Initial decisions – Third party fees Initial decisions – Our professional fees 15 • Newspaper notices • Church fees • Dove release • Specialist vehicles for transportation • Removal of the memorial for preparation of a grave • The interment of the cremated remains in a dedicated grave space • Repatriation and consular fees • Funeral flowers £. . . . . . . . . . . . £. . . . . . . . . . . . £. . . . . . . . . . . . £. . . . . . . . . . . .
