14 2020/21 Discussion Theme: Nature and the Studio The painter of landscape makes something from and with nature. This year we aim to expand the practical possibilities of the studio work as well as the work we may do outside. In developing as artists we continue to think and to find the most vital ways in which we may engage with our true subject. We start the year looking at the notion of working outside and drawing. Later on, a field trip is organised for Wales; date to be confirmed. ADP Key Aims: 1. To grow in individual work. 2. To deepen a connection to landscape. 3. To set down a framework within which a group of paintings, drawings and prints can happen. 4. To expand and deepen work through the study of landscape, painting language and materials. 5. To bring together artists to inform and support.
