School of Landscape Painting - Artsist Development Programme 2020/21

Individual Private Tuition Most of us at some point look for a way to discuss the work we are doing; both in terms of the ideas, its subject matter, materials and technique. This provides us with a confident platform on which we may go forward, and progress with ‘knowing’. The private individual tutorial structure is where together we may lay down the ground for some fundamental ways for you proceed with confidence. We discuss your true subject matter — what ‘it’ is you are going to do; the practical ways this will happen and the ideas and feelings that drive the work. The individual tutorials are about your work, and this regular working process allows for creative development to happen. The sessions are in groups of 4, one Friday per month at times arranged in advance. Images are sent to me prior to each discussion, and practical studio sessions are via video call. Through the setting up of this structure, of regular study and engagement with your work, we will generate a coherent and unique response in your painting practice.
