The lock can be opened from either side with a key, whilst the latch can be opened from either side with a pair of handles. Deadlock – Deadlocks are secured by a bolt and can be opened from either side with a key. Bathroom lock – Bathroom locks have a latch and bolt, the latch is operated by a pair of handles and the bolt is operated by a thumb turn or handle from the bathroom side. Latch – Operated by a pair of handles. Escape lock – Provides single action egress from the inside without the need to use a key. Nightlatch – A latch that is operated by a cylinder. Deadlocking nightlatch – A nightlatch with a snib that deadlocks the latch when the door is closed. Rollerbolt and rollerlatch – Locks a door that operates in both inward and outward directions. Rebate kits – An additional accessory that allows a mortice lock to be used on rebated double doors. Security should always be the number one priority when selecting lockcases.
