Each part of the standard represents a particular feature that the cylinder is graded against to show its performance for elements such asdurability, fire resistance, corrosion resistance, key related security and attack resistance TS007:2011 – The cylinder lock and door handles used on an entrance door should meet the highest standards and protect against the latest known forms of attack to give effective security. Cylinders achieving TS007 and tested with the BSI to proudly carry the British Kitemark. TS007 offers a 1 and 3 star rating; where 3 stars is the pinnacle of the standard to prevent an attacker from breaking off or ‘snapping’ a cylinder to manipulate the lock and gain access.
