THE SCHOOL Our ultimate theatre summer school offers the most exciting and fun-filled theatrical event in the UK. Throughout their week at West End Stage, students are put through their paces by our West End tutors in all aspects of performing: • Acting • Dance • Singing • Musical theatre Other skills workshops include: • Stage Combat • Stage Makeup • Acting for Television • Puppetry • Circus Skills • Audition Technique • Applying for Drama School and many more! Students will have opportunities at every stage of the course to ask their tutors questions about the industry and receive top class advice, all in a safe and supportive environment. PERFORM ON THE WEST END After all of this hard work and excitement, the week culminates in the students’ very own West End performance! This day is a real dream come true. As the evening draws near, the 1000 seat auditorium begins to fill with family, friends and specially invited industry professionals. The students own the stage as they put everything they have learnt into practice and perform on a West End stage! From lights to sound to stage management, every aspect of the production is run by a professional team of experienced theatre specialists. As a result of previous showcases, past students have been seen as a part of the casts of School of Rock, Billy Elliot and Les Misérables to name but a few! Previous theatres for our West End showcase include His Majesty’s Theatre, the Shaftesbury Theatre and the Phoenix Theatre.

TUTORS AND MASTERCLASSES Our wonderful tutors all have major West End credits, ranging from Les Misérables, to Wicked, to Matilda, to The Book of Mormon! They are the best in the business and provide top class teaching for our students. Alongside rehearsals for their West End debut, students also take part in masterclasses with industry professionals! Whether it is an exclusive choreography session with a Wicked cast member or playing with puppets with a War Horse puppeteer, the students will be put through their paces like a true West End star! Evening Activities Our accommodation students take part in lots of extra fun activities along the way! There’s never a dull moment between the film night, the student cabaret and the famous WES disco! VENUES Both of our venues provide the perfect professional facilities in which our students can learn and be creative. Day School (based at The Place, Euston) For students joining us from 10am-5pm every day each week, you will be based at The Place - one of Europe’s premier dance spaces and home to London Contemporary Dance School. The Place is located near Euston Station in central London. Accommodation School (held at Trinity Laban, Greenwich) For students staying with us for the week, you will be based at Trinity Laban - one of the UK’s leading drama schools. Its purpose-built facilities include dance studios, rehearsal rooms, theatres, cafés and social areas. All are used during the week of the summer school and offer a safe and secure environment for our students. ACCOMMODATION Trinity Laban For those students wishing to attend West End Stage, but who are unable to commute into London each day, we provide catered, secure and fully monitored accommodation for our courses at Trinity Laban. Based at the Trinity Laban halls of residence, our accommodation package includes: • Seven nights accommodation (Sunday – Sunday) • Full board • 24/7 security • A designated chaperone (all DBS checked) • En-suite shower and toilet • Extra evening activities and entertainment • A supervised day trip to Greenwich In our accommodation facility, students will have their own room in a shared flat with those their own age.

age matters We welcome students of all abilities between ages 8 - 21. The only requirement is that you are enthusiastic and want to have fun! It’s important that all our students feel comfortable and at ease with their surroundings, therefore all students are grouped according to their age. THE STRUCTURE The school day runs from 10.00am until 5.00pm from MondayFriday. Students are welcome to be dropped off from 9.15am and picked up until 5.30pm. Saturday is a day off, though extra activities are organised for students staying in accommodation. The performance takes place on Sunday, a day spent excitedly rehearsing for the final West End showcase! On certain days, start and finish times may alter slightly due to the trip to a West End show, or when exciting surprises have been arranged.
