Envirowise Envirowise is a government-funded programme which offers practical, independent and confidential advice to UK businesses of all sizes, designed to improve their processes, profitability and competitiveness. Since 1994, Envirowise has helped businesses save over £1 billion by enabling them to significantly reduce their environmental impact. Services include: An encyclopaedic website of valuable information www.envirowise.gov.uk ; A range of publications including real-life examples, good practice guides and newsletters containing practical advice on a variety of topics; A range of topical events, from product design seminars to major exhibitions. An Advice Line (0800 585794) – a source of free, confidential advice for businesses to help them understand resource efficiency and take appropriate action. This practical workshop, which will be delivered by the North West regional team of Nick Ward and Andy Scully, will comprise a brief introduction to resource efficiency; a video case study of one North West based SME which has taken environmental improvements to heart and benefited significantly as a result; and a practical session discussing ways in which your business could implement no- cost or low-cost quick wins that will boost profitability and improve company image.
