We take you firstly to Liverpool with time to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and attractions of ‘The Beatles’ city. The Christmas markets will have an array of stalls selling Christmas gifts and stocking fillers with a selection of food stalls and plenty of bars for you to maybe sample a hot cider. Maybe grab a bite to eat before we re-join the coach and make our way to the St Helens hotel where rooms are booked on a bed & breakfast basis for the night in rooms with private facilities. On day 2, after breakfast, we make our way to Manchester. The areas of Albert Square and St Ann’s Square are transformed into a Winter Wonderland. This shopping experience promises to offer a range of Christmas decorations, Arts and Crafts including wooden toys, European dolls and teddies, jewellery and pottery, European wines, Gluhweins, beers and local food delicacies. There will be time to shop until you drop before we head home in the late afternoon. With the rousing sound of trumpets, the skirl of bagpipes and the rattle of drums, your heart will miss a beat at such a sensation of sights and sounds. The Mighty Wurlitzer, is the corner stone of every lavish production, where behind the scenes a powerful array of instruments perform in harmony. Day 1 - We start with a local departure and make our way east to our hotel - the Wensum Valley Hotel. All rooms are well appointed. Guests can make use of the free Wi-Fi and enjoy complimentary use of the leisure facilities including a swimming pool and sauna. A 2-course late lunch is included today. You will have time to check in and freshen up prior to the coach departing at 16.30-17.00 hrs for the journey to Thursford, arriving in time for you to browse around the various shops, have a drink or a bite to eat, prior to the highlight of the tour - the evening performance, (19.00 hours), of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. After what is sure to be a great night of entertainment the coach will be waiting to transfer you back to the hotel. Day 2 - After a full English breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our way into historic Norwich. This is just the place to pick up some Christmas shopping in one of the department stores or independent retailers. The city is also famous for its cathedral and the Tombland area, once a Saxon market place. After time at leisure we re-join the coach and make our return journey to the Midlands. Important Notes: We cannot accept responsibility for any delays in arrival or failure to arrive at the venue which are the result or circumstances beyond our control. Responsibility is not accepted if the Thursford Spectacular, or any element of it, is cancelled for whatever reason. If the entire show is cancelled after departure arrangements will proceed and ticket value only will be refunded. There will be no additional compensation. Wheelchair users: There is limited wheelchair space at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, therefore Harry Shaw City Cruiser Holidays must be made aware of those wishing to remain in their wheelchairs at the time of original booking.
