We start with a local departure for our journey via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to the Continent. From here we make our way to Ostend. Accommodation has been reserved at the 3* Royal Astrid Hotel which is set approximately 50 yards from the beautiful sandy beaches. Features include an on-site spa with indoor pool area. (Some facilities chargeable). All rooms are well appointed. On day 2 there is time to explore the seaside town of Ostend and enjoy its festive atmosphere. There is a unique Christmas market and ice rink inside the park’s pond. To round things off there is a spectacular light show with over 232,000 lights illuminating one of the main shopping streets. All in all it is an unmissable experience. Day 3 - Brief visit to Bruges the ‘chocolate and lace’ city. Discover the Mediaeval architecture, quaint cobbled streets and picturesque network of canals. The Christmas market is famed for its beautifully wrapped chocolates, coloured sweets and handsome decorations. We call in at a wine and beer warehouse. Please remember all items must be for personal consumption and Customs and Excise limits must be adhered to. Each evening a spectacular light show floods the cathedral with colour. You can stroll through the Amiens Christmas market – one of the largest in Northern France with its array of artisan crafts, decorations and festive food and to round things off we visit Rouen. We start with a local departure and make our way via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to Amiens. Here accommodation has been reserved for 2 nights on a bed and Continental breakfast basis at the 3* B&B Amiens Centre Cathedrale Hotel. This is ideally located approximately 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. Near to the beginning of the pedestrian area. Features include a restaurant and snack bar. Day 2 is at leisure. You can make your own way to Amiens city centre to soak up the festive atmosphere at the Christmas market. As night falls the light show begins at the mighty Notre Dame cathedral. On day 3 after breakfast we commence our return journey home.
