We start with a local departure by coach for our journey via the cross Channel ferry or Eurotunnel to our overnight stopover in France. We continue to Italy the next day and check in at our hotel in Montecatini in time for dinner. Day 3 – Florence. Today we visit the art city. A guided walking tour is included. Don’t miss the Palazzo Vecchio, cathedral, the Bell Tower and the Ponte Vecchio – Florence’s lovely old bridge’. We spend a second night at Montecatini Terme. Day 4 – today we leave Montecatini and head for Rome calling in at fascinating Siena – a classic Tuscan hilltop surrounded town, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Landmarks include the Piazza del Campo, and St Maria della Scala. We continue to Rome area where we spend the next 2 nights. Day 5 – day at leisure in Rome. Don’t miss the Coliseum and the Vatican City. Day 6 – we make our way north to Lake Garda area where we spend the next 3 nights. Day 7 – Venice – today we have included a visit to Venice. Enjoy the famous sights including the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark’s Square and the Doges Palace. Take a walk over the Rialto Bridge (please note: admission charge to the city is NOT included). Day 8 – Lake Garda. We have a half day tour of the shoreline of the lake with some wonderful views. Days 9 and 10 – check out of our hotel and begin the journey home.
