We start with a local departure for our journey south. We take you to London and drop you off at a central point. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to shop or sightsee. You may like to take a ride on the London Eye or perhaps visit Harrods. At approximately 17.30 hrs our coach will pick you up and transfer you to our hotel. We use a selection of hotels in the south of England. All rooms have private facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Dinner is included tonight. On day 2, after breakfast, we take you to Brighton. Don’t miss the extravagant Royal Pavilion or perhaps take a walk through the ‘Lanes’ - packed with shops and restaurants. We stay at the 3* Cumbria Grand Hotel, Grange-Over-Sands a charming Victorian hotel ideally located in a secluded wooded valley and within walking distance to the beach. All rooms are well appointed with private bathroom, tv, tea/coffee making facilities. Features include a restaurant, bar and lounge. On day 1 we visit the Northern Lakes. We pass by the tranquil waters of Ullswater to Patterdale and, depending on weather conditions, travel over the magnificent Kirkstone Pass. We continue to Ambleside and Grasmere before making our way to our hotel where accommodation is reserved for the night.
