We start with a local departure for our journey south. We take you to London and drop you off at a central point. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to shop or sightsee. You may like to take a ride on the London Eye or perhaps visit Harrods or visit the Christmas markets with their festive food and gifts. At approximately 17.30 hours our coach will pick you up and transfer you to our hotel. We use a selection of hotels in the south of England such as the Europa Gatwick or similar. All rooms have private facilities, TV and tea / coffee making facilities. Dinner is included tonight. On day 2, after breakfast we take you to Brighton. Don’t miss the extravagant Royal Pavilion or perhaps take a walk through the ‘Lanes’ – packed with shops and restaurants. During the mid-afternoon we commence our journey home, arriving back later on. Brighton Pier Harrods - London Winchester Cathedral Winchester & Southampton Christmas Markets Enjoy this great weekend break taking in two great destinations. Winchester – the ancient capital of England, full of mediaeval character and buildings including the famous cathedral – the burial place of Jane Austen. The Winchester Cathedral Christmas markets is set in a unique location next to the cathedral and takes inspiration from the traditional German Christmas markets with traders from all over the UK selling gifts, decorations and festive food. During the late afternoon/early evening we make our way to the Holiday Inn, Fareham for 1 night dinner, bed & breakfast (3 course, 3 choice buffet dinner). All rooms have private facilities and features include a gym and swimming pool with access included during your stay. Southampton Christmas Market – This traditional market features individually designed alpine chalets offering a range of hand-made authentic gifts and decorations as well as a menu of international dishes. Return home in the mid/late afternoon.
