Poverty 2 Prosperity - Challenge Pack

The reality is not so easy to reconcile. Do we abandon our dreams or think differently? A fast car may not resonate with all of us, but it is certainly a symbol of development for many people. At the same time we know it is impossible for us all to possess one. We know the ecological damage our current views are leading to, so why are we not changing? Emotions like desire, anxiety and fear are what move us. Our current views place the satisfying of our emotions disproportionately onto material things; paradoxically at the same time sending the planet on an ecological crash course. P2P focuses on five thinking skills; this is deliberate. The activities in each of the challenge packs are designed to explore creative responses to global issues. We all impact on the world around us and vice-versa. Imagine trying to build our dream car alone, Or tackling poverty without conserving biodiversity, Addressing climate change without reforming the economy. P2P activities share a common emotional and practical response to meeting our own needs, those of others and of the planet.
