We start with a local departure by coach for our journey south. At Torquay we have 4 nights half board accommodation reserved at the TLH Carlton Hotel or the Riviera Hotel. TLH Carlton Hotel - Situated less than a 5 minute walk to the seafront and all rooms have private facilities and tea/coffee making facilities. During your stay there is a full entertainment programme including daytime activities. Features include a leisure complex with gym, bars and restaurant, games area etc. (Please note some facilities may e chargeable and subject to change). Riviera Hotel - Set approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the town centre a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Features include an indoor swimming pool (subject to availability). During your stay we have included these great excursions: • A half day visit to charming Totnes with its lovely riverside walks, Georgian houses and Norman castle ruin. We continue to Buckfast Abbey home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks: a place of beauty and tranquillity. There is also a large restaurant, shops, exhibition centre and beautiful gardens. • Today we enjoy a trip to Georgian Teignmouth, a traditional seaside resort with a classic Victorian pier, before visiting Dawlish with its golden sand beach. Shanklin boasts a long sandy beach which lies at the foot of spectacular cliffs on which most of the town is situated. The traditional seaside part of town blends into picturesque thatched cottages of Shanklin old town. We start with a local departure by coach for our journey south. Accommodation has been reserved at the Medehamstede Hotel – a Victorian building with plenty of character. It is set in attractive gardens.
