It is home to a Mediaeval castle built by the Welsh in the mid 13th Century. The castle divides the town into 2 with a pebbly beach to the west and a lovely sheltered mainly sandy beach to the east. The countryside around is breathtaking with awesome mountain scenery of Snowdonia and delightful gardens and castles at every turn. We start with a local departure by coach and make our way to Criccieth and the George IV Hotel. This is set on the High Street in the centre of town with magnificent views towards the sea and castle. All rooms have private facilities, TV and tea / coffee making facilities. Your ‘Festive Sparkle’ break includes the following: Friday - Arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome. Enjoy an arrival dinner, with a glass of mulled wine followed by an evening of music, dancing and entertainment. Saturday - Enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and an evening of music, dancing and entertainment. Sunday - Enjoy a farewell dinner, followed by a party with an optional fancy dress competition and a night of dancing and entertainment. Monday - return home after breakfast arriving back later on. During your stay we have included these great excursions: • A visit to the Snowdonia National Park • Half day visit to Portmeirion village. This unique village is set on its own peninsular on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was the setting used for the famous TV series ‘The Prisoner’. There are lovely gardens and fascinating vistas at every turn. (Entrance included in the tour cost). George IV Hotel ‘All Inclusive’ - Adults Only Festive Sparkle Weekend Enjoy a fantastic festive break at the top-class Potters Resort. This awardwinning centre offers a great choice of entertainment, Sports, leisure and activities. With bungalow style accommodation that has external access set in the gardens stretching down to the sea and features a TV, private facilities, tea / coffee tray and free Wi-Fi. We start with a local departure and make our way east to Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk and the Potters resort for 3 nights adult only full board “all inclusive” accommodation. Meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late-night dish: All-inclusive drinks are from 3pm on day of arrival until close of bars, then from 08.30am each morning until close of bars and ends at 10.30am on departure day.
